NDA Stands for National Defence Academy and It Recruits the Candidates for these Wings :

>> Army Wings
>> Air Force Wings
>> Naval Wings.

To apply for NDA Examination, You have to complete your 12Th examination form a recognised Board, Final year appearing Candidates are also apply for NDA.

For Naval and Air Force Wings, You have to complete your 12Th examination with Maths and Physics as a compulsory Subjects.

And for Army Wings you have to complete your 12Th examination in any discipline form a recognised Board.

To apply for NDA Examination, Your age should between 16.5 to 19 Years.

How To apply for NDA :

The Notification of NDA Examination will be published in the Month of December and Eligible candidates May Fill the application form Online By visit the UPSC Website. You have to pay the Fees Through Online by SBI NET Banking or Submit the fees directly in SBI Bank.

After Paying the Fees you are eligible to fill the Online Application form.

NDA- NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY exam conducted by UPSC twice a year as NDA-I and NDA-II for entry into three wings of NDA:-

Army
Navy
Air Force

For Army wing one has to complete 10+2 in any stream and for Navy and Air Force wing one has to complete 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The final appearing 10+2 candidate can also apply for NDA.

The notification for NDA-II will be come out in December 2011 eligible one can apply on line through UPSC official web site i.e. www.upsc.gov.in after paying fees for the exam.

Application Form For NDA

The NDA Exam takes place twice a year in the months of April and August..

The next NDA exam is going to be conducted on 15th April,2012 and the forms shall be available online on the official website of UPSC which is http://upsc.gov.in and offline also at your nearest post offices from 31st December,2011 and the last date for form submission is 30th January..

You should be at least a 12th pass out (with PCM as your subjects in 12th if you wish to join the Air Force or Navy)

You should also be within the age limit of 16.5-19 years..

You need to first clear the written exam which will test your general knowledge,english and basic maths..

C.D.S. - Combined Defense Services.

Generally CDS consist of the following types :

1. Indian Army
2. Indian Navy
3. Indian Air force.

Eligibility Criteria :-

1. Age ::

19 to 23 years as on 01 july 2012 i.e. born between 2nd july 1989 to 1 July 1993(both dates inclusive).

2. Educational Qualification ::

Graduates in any discipline from a recognized university having 60% or more than 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together and have passed 10+2 th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or BE/B.Tech degree from a recognized university having 60% or more than 60% marks in aggregate in all papers put together.

3. Physical Standard ::

i.) Height : minimum 162.5 cm and more than this
ii.) Weight : in between 60 to 80 kg
iii.) Vision : minimum visual acuity 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in another
eye

UPSC{Union Public Service Commission} conducts NDA{National Defence Academy} Examination twice in a Year as NDA I & NDA II Exam for those student who want to join Indian Army, NAVY & Air Force after passing 12th standard.

NDA is for unmarried male candidates only

Eligibility Criteria for NDA exam:
--------------------------------

• You should have passed 12th standard from State board or recognized school.
  
• For Air Force & NAVY you must pass 12th with physics & chemistry as one of the subject.
  
• There is no percentage limit mentioned for this exam.
  
• If you are appearing in 12th then you can also apply.

Exam Pattern for NDA written test:

There will be written Examination for total of 900 marks in two Subjects

1. Mathematics - Maximum marks is 300 and the duration of the test is 2.5 Hrs.
2. General Ability Test - Maximum marks is 600 and the duration of the test is 2.5 Hrs.

The papers in both the subjects will consist of objective type questions only.

NDA means National Defence Academy. It is conducted by UPSC every year. The applications can be filled through online only. Application form is available in the website www.upsconline.nic.in. The registration involves two parts. In part 1 registration you have fill the details about you. After part 1 registration is completed next is payment of fee. You can pay through net-banking or by DD. After payment you will enter into part 2 registration where you have upload your photo and signature.
