Whether I should go for MBA or Ph.D. after M.Sc. in Biotechnology?
Respected Sir/Madam
I am in the final year of MSc biotechnology. I do not have any problems academically and have always got very good marks throughout. But I am very confused. I cant decide between PhD and MBA. Which will be more rewarding considering i want to settle abroad. Also could you please give me the salary packages after MSc MBA and also after MSc PhD. What kind of jobs await me if i do MBA after MSc(biotechnology). I need your guidance. Please help me out. |

Re: Whether I should go for MBA or Ph.D. after M.Sc. in Biotechnology?
Its better to go for Ph.D . Anyway after the completion of M.SC, you will get post graduation certificate. Having post graduate degree in hand, it is not that much necessary again to pursue another post graduation degree i.e. MBA.
But one thing if you have good interest in joining MBA and if you are able to get admission in some reputed B-schools, you can go for MBA. Because it is the fully demanded course in these days. As you are from life science background, in MBA life sciences specializations are also available like Hospital management, Pharmaceutical management. As far as the salaries are concerned, it will depend upon the job designation that you are going to join. The more skills and knowledge you have, the more chances for you to earn good salary and to join in good job position. Once you complete Ph.D, you can earn handsome salary in teaching profession and in research. |

Hello
Its like if you want to do teaching job then go for PhD and if you are interested in doing marketing jobs or management job then join MBA. and you want to settle abroad then both the courses are good and you can get job in abroad after doing any of the course. I would suggest you to choose the course according to your area of your interest. |
