after graduation ,a student is quite matured and look ahead. so obviously B.ED is better as you can become a T.G.T teacher and there are chances of promotion as well in future .

Hello Taapsi,
The JBT programme is specially designed for the one who wish to teach young kids and the minimum qualification to pursue the course is 10+2. But if you have completed your graduation, you must go for B.Ed. To make a career in teaching, you got to have this degree. This particular programme provides all necessary skills required in teaching the subject of your expertise. It also helps you to develop innovative ideas neede to become a successful teacher. Following are some of the best institutes offering the programe. St. Xaviers College of Education, Patna Jamia Millia Islamia, Maulana Mohammed Ali Jauhar Marg, New Delhi A.G. Teachers College, Ahmedabad Himachal Pradesh University, Department Of Education, Shimla D.M.College of Teacher Education, Imphal Andhra University, Visakhapatanam |

Re: Whether JBT is better option after graduation or B.Ed?
in my opinion B.ED will be good option than jbt. I know many people who have done jbt and have not found job anywhere. Also by doing b.ed you can work as a teacher in school or as a lecturer in college. Now a days there is shortage of teachers. So you will easily get job after doing B.ED

Re: Whether JBT is better option after graduation or B.Ed?
B. Ed (English) is much better than JBT because it is provided through various universities as well as IGNOU through either full time or distance education options. For details of B. Ed from IGNOU you can visit the website 'www.ignou.ac.in". The details are as follows: This program enables in-service teachers to select and organize learning experiences. Eligibility is in-service teacher with a bachelor or higher degree from a recognized university and a 2 year fulltime regular teaching experience on temporary/ permanent basis. Admissions are done regional-centre wise on the basis of the score obtained in the entrance test conducted all over India.

Re: Whether JBT is better option after graduation or B.Ed?
Hi,
Definitely, B.Ed is much better option than JBT. A JBT training is the elementary recognition certificate to teach in primary school(class-1 to class-8). Whether, B.Ed training is the recognising certificate of a graduate teacher for teaching in Secondary and Higher Secondary classes. So, obviously after B.Ed the scope of getting good job becomes higher. You can also be offered the post of Head of Institution at later stage of your job. All the best! |

Re: Whether JBT is better option after graduation or B.Ed?
hi friend,
BEd is obviously a better option than JBT. But first you have to know each significance. JBT just makes you eligible to become a teacher in school, whereas by BEd you can get a senior post in school with better payscale. In some areas BEd is only done after graduation course whereas JBT can easilily be done after 12th . JBT course is equivalent to Diploma in Education hence there is no need to say that BEd is better career option that JBT. |

Re: Whether JBT is better option after graduation or B.Ed?
after graduation undoubtedly B.Ed is better than the JBT. JBT is a course for a 10 level student. and by this course you will get job in primary school. but if you do B.Ed it will be used when you will apply for job in junior high school or high school. at the time of SSC examination you will get preference at the time of selection of high school teacher.
but if you think that it is very difficult to get job in high school for you than the getting job in primary school then go for JBT. because it will make your life secured. after JBT if you get chance then complete B.Ed also. |

Re: Whether JBT is better option after graduation or B.Ed?
HI!
After graduation BEd is a better option than JBT. The junior basic training Institutes (JBT) have come up in India mainly to train the teachers who are actively engaged in imparting education to the tender aged children. While Bed makes a candidate qualified for teaching Higher school students. When you are qualified for BEd why are you even thinking of JBT. BEd will open more avenues for you. |

Re: Whether JBT is better option after graduation or B.Ed?
Hello,
Presently, I am into a regular job with an MNC. For future, I prefer to take up a career which doesn't require me to stick to one city. I believe, Teaching is one such profession that meets my this requirement. Please guide what other career options I can consider, which is both rewarding and with a decent compensation. I have done both B.Com (Pass) from DU & PGDBA (Symbiosis) through Distance Learning. Can I pursue B.Ed with the above qualification and which is the most suitable university to opt for? Please share the duration and other specifics (if any). I would preferably like to teach English Language to primary to mid-level students at school. Considering the above requirements, please share with me your feedback to enable me making a decision. Chitra |

Re: Whether JBT is better option after graduation or B.Ed?
dear friend,
B.Ed. is considered a higher qualification than JBT or B.El.Ed. You have to be a graduate to do a B.Ed. It qualifies you to be a high school teacher. Whereas JBT and B.El.Ed. are for teaching in primary schools. If you have passed the higher secondary or +2, then you can take admission in these courses, provided you've passed the entrance exam. B.Ed. = Bachelor of Education JBT = Junior Basic Teacher B.El.Ed. = Bachelor of Elementary Education. good luck |
