Eligibility and Exam Pattern for JBT Common Entrance Test
JBT Common Entrance Test is conducted for the admission to Two Years Junior Basic Training Course. The test is conducted across different states of India. Following is the brief description about the eligibility criteria and exam pattern for JBT common entrance test.
Eligibility criteria for JBT entrance test
Candidates who have completed their higher secondary examination with a minimum of 50 % marks are eligible to apply for this exam. Candidates belonging to reserved category with 45 % marks are eligible. Candidates should have an age between 17 – 28 years at the time of application. Relaxation up to five years in the upper age limit is given to the candidates of reserved categories as per existing rules of the government of India. There will be no upper age limit in case of Ex-servicemen candidates.
Application procedure for JBT common entrance test
Candidates are required to apply for the exam in the prescribed application form. Application form can be obtained from the regional centers of the education board. Fees for this common entrance exam is Rs. 200/-. Candidates are required to pay the examination fees in the form of Bank Draft only. Candidates are required to write their name and complete address on the back side of the Bank Draft. Duly filled application along with fees receipt, three passport size photographs and two self addressed envelopes should be sent as registered post to the Deputy Secretary JBT Cell within the stipulated date. Incomplete and late application form will be rejected and no intimation will be sent to the candidate. Hence candidates are advised to send the application to the Board early.
Exam pattern of JBT common entrance test
The question booklet of JBT common entrance test will contain multiple choice objective type questions. There will be hundred questions each carrying one mark. The maximum time duration of this test is two hours. The questions will be of higher secondary standard. Candidates can expect questions from Hindi, General English, Numerical Ability and General Awareness. The questions of General Awareness will be based mainly on the events prevailing at the time of examination. Each section carries twenty five marks. The minimum pass mark for general category candidates is 40 out of 100. Candidates belonging to reserved category require 35 % marks to clear this common entrance exam.
