Will I be eligible to appear for NET after completion of M.Phil?
I got 45% in MA so I'm not eligible to appear for NET examination? However, if I do M.Phil and get 50% then will I be able to apply for NET examination? And, I belong to Schedule Caste category. Is there any benefit of this?

NET refers to National Eligibility Test and the minimum education required to apply for the same examination is a master's degree in concerned subject with at least 55% marks from a recognised university. Marks relaxation upto 5% is allowed for candidates belonging to SC/ST or PH categories.
So, having completed your MA degree course with just 45% marks, you are not eligible to apply for NET even if you belong to SC category and hold in any higher degree. For more details and FAQs regarding NET, you can refer to the link www.ntanet.nic.in. |
