I belong to st category.i have scored 97 marks in iit jee .please tell me will i get preparatory course seat in iit's.please reply .................

Yes, if you are a student of SC/ST category then you can get admission in the preparatory courses in one of the IIT's. Usually, the cut off for preparatory courses in IIT's is about 40 to 50 marks. So, if you score 97 marks in IIT JEE then they are considerable enough to get a preparatory course at any of the IIT's. You will certainly have a seat. So you must take advantage of the opportunity you get and go for it.

i dont think u r considered in better iit's unless u r comfortable wid any branch.

You are eligible if the following criteria is satisfied:
Clear the cut off ranges in all three subjects i.e physics, chemistry, maths
If you satisfies the above criteria then you are eligible. The cut off criteria for Preparatory course is 50 number approximately. So, you get more than that so you will definitely get the seat in IIT.
