Is it worth switching from SSC Board to CBSE Board?

Hello, my child is in 4th standard in SSC Board. Can we switch to CBSE Board from 5th class? What all documents are needed for admission process? Or, should I stick to SSC Board only?

Yes, you can switch your ward from SSC to CBSE Board after Class 4th standard. CBSE Board is better than SSC Board in many aspects.

Actually, CBSE Board curriculum is better than SSC Board curriculum. They regularly update their syllabus as per requirements. Also, their syllabus matches with competitive entrance exams like JEE Main, JEE Advanced, NEET, etc.

Following documents would be required for admission:
  • School leaving certificate/Transfer Certificate
  • Marksheet of previous standard (Class 4th)
  • Identity proof (say Aadhar card)
  • Date of Birth certificate
  • Passport size photographs

He/she will also have to qualify a written test that will contain questions belonging to Class 4th standard.
Do you have any question? or have anything to say?
