Detailed information about WBCS Preliminary exam for B.A.(Economics) graduate? For which subject I should apply?
Respected Sir,
I have completed my B.A. in Economics. I want to apply for WBCS Preliminary. Kindly tell me for what subject I can apply? Please provide me the details of this exam for me. Thank you. |

If you have completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university then you are eligible for WBCS exam. There is no marks criteria. Final year student are eligible for WBCS exam. You must speak, read, write in Bengali language . Dear actually WBCS refers to West Bengal Civil services Examination. And is the State level examination. For this examination you should satisfy some eligibility requirements. Here we are providing you those requirements.
Eligibility Criteria : 1.You must be a citizen of India. 2.You should complete the graduation from the recognized university. 3.Minimum Age limit : 21 years Maximum Age limit : 32 years 4.You should be proficient in Bengali and English. And as you said you must attend for Preliminary exam. In fact it is common for all the students who are appearing for the WBCS examination. In Main's you will have the below pattern for WBCS Examination : --> 6 compulsory subjects --> One Optional subjects for Group A and B --> For Group C and D there is no need of Optional subject.
