Thumbs up Re: Eligibility criteria and subject selection of WBCS exam for B.Tech ECE passed candidate?

Yes, you are eligible for WBCS exam since you have completed a degree but make sure that you have done it from a Government recognized college if not it won't be possible to apply.

The common eligibility criteria for WBCS exam is as follows,

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR WBCS (West Bengal Civil Service)

-> Candidate should have got a degree from recognized University.

-> Candidate should be able to read, write and speak Bengali language.

-> Candidate age should be between 21-32 years. (Relaxation of age is possible)

-> Candidate should have good health and suitable for all respect for appointment of Government services.

Also attached the WBCS 2014 notification file in this post for your reference. The online registration process are over now and you won't be able to apply for the exam. You need to wait till next year.

WBCS EXAMINATION PATTERN:

There will two exams conducted as part of the WBCS selection which are,

-> Preliminary Examination - One paper General Studies - 200 marks.

-> Main Examination - Six compulsory paper and one optional - 200 marks each.

I have attached the complete syllabus detail pdf of WBCS examination in this post for your reference. Just go through it to understand the exam better and prepare for them accordingly.
