Detailed information and eligibility to apply in UPSC Engineering Graduates recruitment for Chemistry postgraduate?
Sir,
I just want to know the details of UPSC Engineering Graduates recruitment. I am a postgraduate in Chemistry so can I apply for this recruitment? |

IES Stands for Indian Engineering Service examination. If you have completed bachelor engineering degree course then you are eligible to apply for IES Examination but your written exam subjects are -CIVIL, MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, ELECTRONICS AND TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEERING. You can choose any one subject from above mentioned subject. M.Sc Degree or its equivalent with Wireless Communication, Electronics, Radio Physics or Radio Engineering are also eligible for IES Exam. Final year student are also eligible for IES exam. The applicant age should be in between 21 to 30 years. SC/ST = 5 years OBC =3 years PWD =10 years Ex-Servicemen = 5 years |

No, you are not eligible to apply for Indian Engineering services examination conducted by Union public service commission.The educational qualification required to apply for IES examination is Graduation in Engineering from Civil, mechanical, electrical and Electronics streams from recognised institution or university.Age limit to apply for this exam is 21-32 years for General category, 21-35 years for OBC candidates and 21-37 years for SC,ST category candidates.And the candidate must be Indian citizen to apply for this IES examination.And maximum number of attempts allowed for this exam are : 4 times for General category, 7times for OBC candidates and no limit for SC&ST candidates. The selection procedure of IES examination is preliminary exam,main exam followed by personal interview and documents verification.For further details please check www.upsc.gov.in
