Yes, you are eligible for Indian Forest Service exam to become a forest officer.

IFS stands for Indian Forest Service exam. This exam is conducted by UPSC.

Those candidates who have completed graduation degree from a recognized university in Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a degree in Agriculture or Forestry or Engineering are eligible for IFS exam.

Final year student are also eligible for IFS exam,

Your age should be in between 21 to 30 years. Age relaxation is provided for SC/ST/OBC candidate category.

Pattern for IFS exam:-

Paper I:- General English (300 marks)
Paper II:- General Knowledge (300 marks)
Paper III-VI:- Any two selected optional subject (200 marks for each paper)
Personality Test:- 300 marks

To become Forest Officer, the candidate has to write the Indian Forest Services (IFS) exam which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

ELIGIBILITY :

* Candidate must be citizen of India.

* Candidate can be either a subject of Nepal, Bhutan.

* Candidates age should range between 21 years to 30 years.

* Age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ ST and 3 years for OBC candidates are applicable.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS :

* The candidates must hold a bachelor's degree with any one of the subjects mentioned below.

Animal Husbandry and Veterinary science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology, Agriculture, Forestry, Agriculture Engineering, Forestry Engineering.

The degree should be granted from any recognized Universities or Institution.

SELECTION PROCESS :

* Preliminary examination.

* Mains examination.

* Interview.

Yes you can apply for various jobs in Forest jobs with B.Tech Civil Engineering. You can go though both in Technical as well as General departments. For this you need to register UPSC IFS Examination.

Indian Forest Examination :

Following details are mentioned for getting job in Forest Department:

1. Candidate Age limit should be 21-32 years.Age relaxation is applicable by 05 years for SC/SC, 3 years for OBC Candidates.

2. Candidate should be having a Bachelor Degree in recognized university.
3. Candidate Must be citizen of India.
