Profile:

HP Forest Department was established by the Government of Himachal Pardesh under the Government of India. The major objective behind the establishment of the department was to protect the forests of Himachal Pradesh from any illegal activities. The major function of the department is to provide security measures to protect the forests of Himachal Pradesh.

Job Profile:

Candidates with Himachal bonfide can apply for the following posts on contract basis:

1. Recruitment of GIS System Analyst:
No. of posts: 1 post only

2. Recruitment of Image Interpreter:
No. of posts: 1 post only

3. Recruitment of Draughtsman:
No. of posts: 2 posts only

Age Limit:

Interested candidates should not be less than 18 years of age and also not more than 35 years of age as on 31 March 2010 for applying for the above three specified posts in HP Forest Department.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates are required to have atleast the minimum educational qualification required for the posts of GIS System Analyst, Image Interpreter and Draughtsman in HP Forest Department.

Selection process:

The selection process for the above specified posts includes both the written examination as well as the interview session. The final selection of the candidates will be made strictly on the basis of the candidate’s performance in both theses examinations.
