i had completed(2012) b.tech & student of electronic and communication.i want to join the merchant navy.....what is the post...&how can i join it....please...reply

hi,

There are mainly three departments in Merchant Navy including the Deck department, Engine department and the Service department.
You can placed in any of these departments subject to certain qualifications and certifications that are needed for various job profiles.

Eligibility Criteria :

- To get in to merchant navy the minimum educational required are Bachelors Degree in nautical science or marine engineering

- You should be a citizen of India.

- The minimum age required is 18 years.

Physical Eligibility :

- You should be physically and mentally fit.

- You should have a perfect eyesight, marine engineers can wear spectacles for eyesight up to plus-minus 2.5.
