I am a graduate of business management. Can I apply for IES exam i.e. for Indian Economic Services?

Eligibility for IES:-
> You must be a citizen of India or Nepal or Bhutan. > You must be Tibetan refugee who moved to India before 1962 > Minimum age required is 21 years. > Upper age limit varies for different categories: . 30 years for General category . 35 years for SC and ST categories . 33 yeas for OBC > You must hold a post graduate degree in business economics and economics or econometrics or applied economics. > The postgraduate degree must have been issued by a University recognised by the state or central legislature. |

Eligibility criteria for Indian Economic Services is as follows.
You must be post graduated with Economics or relevant subjects. Your age should be less than 40 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules. You are not eligible for this role being a graduate candidate. Clear each stage of selection to get role of IES officer. |

Educational qualifications for IES are mentioned below. You must hold a postgraduate degree in Business Economics or Economics or Econometrics or Applied Economics. The postgraduate degree must have been issued by a university recognised by the state or central legislature.
The candidate should be in the age group of 21 years to 32 years. |

✓ Educational Qualification:- Candidates should possess a Post Graduate Degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics for the IES exam. ✓ Age Limit:- For unreserved candidates, the Minimum is 21 years and the Maximum age is 30 Years. There is age relaxation for reserved category candidates. ✓ Nationality:- Candidate's nationality must be a citizen of India , a subject of Nepal or Bhutan. IES ( Indian economic services) conducted by UPSC. Once a year.
Education qualification:- candidate must have postgraduate degree in economics/ business economics/econometrics from a recognized University or foreign university approved by the Central government of India. Age limit:- 21 years to 30 years Relaxation:- sc/ st :- 5 years Obc:- 3 years. Maximum 5 years relaxation for ex service man including commissioned officers. IES is the gateway to the Central services as group "A" officers. Aspirants who successfully pass IES exams are placed in various cadre post in the planning commission, planning board, ministry of economics affairs, national sample survey etc. |
