Am I eligible for Indian Economic Services exam after completion of post graduation course via distance mode? Can someone let me know on the eligibility criteria followed for the IES exam?
I have done my graduation in Economics in regular course but my post graduation in distance learning programme.... Am I eligible for Indian Economic Services exam? Can someone please let me know the eligibility criteria which is followed for the same? Waiting for a reply soon.

Indian Economic Service Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Once in a year. This year IES exam notification has been already released. Last date for receipt of application is on 20th March 2015.
Eligibility Criteria :- You should have completed post-graduation in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics from a recognized university or equivalent qualification. Your age should be between 21 years to 30 years at the time of appearing for this examination. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories. How to Apply : You are required to apply online using the link www.upsconline.nic.in. There is no offline mode of applications available. Above eligibility criteria is matching your qualifications then definitely you are eligible to apply for Economics Service Examination. Otherwise, you are ineligible to apply for this examination. I have done my PGDM in finance and i am planning for MA economics from distance learning. So will it feasible to apply for IES or should i plan for regular MA economics course for top colleges.
