Hi all , i am chevanthysoubramaniane pursuing bachelor of technology in electronics and communication engineering, i would like to know eligibility criteria to become a lecturer in government polytechnic colleges is it must and should to do mtech?
Which exam should be written to become lecturer?
When the exam will be conducted annually?
Should i join any training institute to clear the written exam?
first of all pleases say about the education qualification

Eligibility criteria for Lecturer post in Diploma college:-
**Educational qualification:
Those candidates who have completed B.Tech degree from a recognized university are eligible for lecturer post in diploma college.
**Age Limit:
Your age should be above 18 years old.

Lecturer post of Diploma college is conducted by PSC. So you can apply in PSC for lecturer post in government polytechnic college.

Eligibility criteria for lecturer post in government polytechnic college or private polytechnic colleges? Which exam is conducted annually?

1. You must have passed post graduation with a minimum of 55% marks from any university.

2. You must have qualified National Eligibility Test.

Eligibility criteria for lecturer post in government polytechnic college or private polytechnic colleges:

General - Master's degree with a minimum of 55% marks.
ST/SC/OBC/PWD/Transgenders - Master's degree with a minimum of 50% marks.

The National Eligibility Test (NET), also known as UGC NET or NTA-UGC-NET, is the examination for determining the eligibility for the post of assistant professor and/or Junior Research Fellowship award in Indian universities and colleges.

--- A minimum educational qualification required for the post of lecturer in Government Polytechnic college is masters degree with first class or equivalent in a relevant subject and must have cleared the national Eligibility Test conducted by the UGC or the CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET.

Then you have to clear the interview also and some States also conduct the demonstration test for teachers who qualify the exam.
However, in private colleges you can get job on the basis of graduation only if your resume or CV is compatible to the requirements of that particular college for the particular post.

If you have scored at least 55% marks in your Master's degree program (50% for reserved category candidates) you can become a lecturer.
Candidates in the final year of the Masters Programme: Candidates who will be appearing for their final year Master's Degree exams can also apply for the UGC NET exam.
