Bachelor of law candidates need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria to apply for judicial examination:-

The percentage of marks required in bachelor of law is 55% to apply for judicial examination. For SC/ ST candidates, it's only 50% marks.


The age criteria is 35 - 45 years. Upper age relaxation applicable to candidates of reserved category.

You need to focus on your law subjects as well as general awareness, aptitude, English and reasoning.

If your graduation degree marks is above 50% from recognized board then you are eligible for Magistrate in Andhra Pradesh.

For this post, you must have at least 10 years experience in Civil Services.

Students who have finished their graduation in Law are eligible to become magistrates. Their age should be more than 21 and must not exceed 35 years at the time of applying. Those candidates who have finished their LLM degree are also eligible to apply.

The eligibility for the Magistrate examination in Andhra Pradesh is a candidate must have passed a law degree from a recognized university in India and must be enrolled as an Advocate under the Advocates Act 1961 with membership in the state bar council. For direct recruitment, a candidate must have completed 3 years as a practicing advocate.
