>> You are required to apply for Combined Graduate Level examination conducted by Staff Selection Commission.

To become an Income Tax Officer after completing BCom is you need to appear for the SSC CGL (Staff Selection Commission conducts the Combined Graduate Level) examination for Income Tax Officers under the department of Income Tax. The educational qualification required is a candidate must have passed a bachelor's degree in any discipline or equivalent from a recognized university. The candidate's age should not be more than 30 years.

After bachelor degree, you can apply for Civil Service or Combined Graduate Level examination for recruitment in Income Tax department as an officer.

The required minimum educational qualification is bachelor degree in any discipline. The age limit varies with examination. Candidates after qualifying in all stages of examination become eligible for recruitment as an officer.

Procedure to become an Income Tax officer after completing BCom:-

Income Tax Officer exam is conducted by the SSC (Staff Selection Commission).

There are mainly three stages for this exam:- Preliminary Exam
Main Exam
Personality Test

Eligibility Criteria:-
The candidate should have passed graduation degree from a recognised University can apply for it.

Age limit:-
Age limit is between 18 years to 27 years.

Age relaxation:-
Age relaxation for OBC 3 years
SC/ST 5 years
PWD 10 years.

Nationality:-
A candidate must have a nationality of India.

Physical Standard:-
Height - 157.5 cms
Chest - 81cms, fully, expanded with a minimum expansion of 5cms.

Walking:-
1600 metres in 15 minutes.

Cycling:-
8 kms in 30 minutes.

To become an income tax officer after completion of BCom, you have two modes and that is; the first one is SSC CGL exam that is conducted by Staff Selection Commission and the second one is UPSC examination.

Selection process in both these examination is same and that is you have to clear three stages. . .

Preliminary examination

Mains examination

Personal interview

I will suggest you start your preparation for UPSC or SSC GCL exam to become an Income Tax Office after graduation. The candidate should be 21 years or above to be eligible for this post.

Steps:-
1. Prelims.
2. Mains.
3. Interview

To become an Income Tax officer after completing BCom. Follow these steps:-

1. Complete your graduation with minimum 60 percent marks.

2. Apply for the UPSC exam.

3. You have to qualify UPSC exam to become an Income Tax Officer.

You can become an Income tax officer, after qualifying in examination conducted by SSC or UPSC.

The required educational qualification to appear in any of the examination is bachelor degree in any discipline. So, you will become eligible to appear in the examination next year.

You can start preparation for the examination as per the syllabus of examination to get the selection.
