Income tax department is Central Government agency involved in collecting taxes from the people of India and monitoring income tax collection.

It is a matter of pride for anyone to join income tax department as an officer.
Currently, SSC recruits Inspector, tax assistants and other in income tax department.
You can also join Income tax after qualifying UPSC examination as IRS officer.

SSC conducts CGL(Combined Graduate Level) examination for recruitment in Income tax and other departments of central government.
CGL 2018 will be conducted in August 2018.
Eligibility to appear in SSC CGL examination is that student must have completed bachelor's degree in any stream from any university.

As you are currently in 1st, you are not eligible to appear in this examination.
First, you have to complete your B.Com then only you can appear in the examination and join Income tax department.
