New pattern for WBPSC preliminary exam:-

i English Composition 25 Marks
ii General Science 25 Marks
iii Current events of National & International Importance 25 Marks
iv History of India 25 Marks
v Geography of India with special reference to West Bengal 25 Marks
vi Indian Polity and Economy 25 Marks
vii Indian National Movement 25 Marks
viii General Mental Ability 25 Marks

WBPSC exam is not announced yet but it will be announced very soon.

Actually there is different notifications for various posts under WBPSC examination. Posts like Architect , State level Civil's , Medical Officer and many other.

Selection Process for WBPSC 2015 Examination :

Pattern of the WBPSC Examination :

Prelims Examination :


1.General Science --- 25 marks

2.History of India --- 25 marks

3.Indian Polity and Economy --- 25 marks

4.General Mental Ability --- 25 marks

5.Geography of India -- 25 marks

6.English Composition --- 25 marks

7. Current Events --- 25 marks

8. Indian National Movement --- 25 marks


Main's Examination :

Under this you will have total 8 papers and each carries 200 marks except paper VII for Group A and Group cadre

For Group c and Group D there is No paper of VII and for Paper VIII --150 marks.
