One who is interested to become a loco pilot, must have minimum qualification of 10th standard with ITI in any trade from a recognised board. After that he has to appear in the RRB examination.

Re: With PCB stream is there any chance to be a Loco Pilot?
According to me, as you want to become a loco pilot in future and you have completed your 10th standard, so you should complete your ITI after completing your 10th standard because this is the minimum qualification required to become a loco pilot.
After completing your ITI, you have to appear in RRB examination. |

Re: With PCB stream is there any chance to be a Loco Pilot?
Yes, you can become a loco pilot with PCB stream, candidates from any stream can become a loco pilot, but they must also have an additional qualification. Candidates must have an ITI qualification in specific trades like: heat engine/turner/tractor mechanic/wireman/fitter/mechanic radio and tv etc. With this qualification candidates can appear for Railway recruitment Board examination for loco pilot position. So, after qualifying 12th you also have to pursue ITI in order to become a loco pilot.

Re: With PCB stream is there any chance to be a Loco Pilot?
Quote:
Sorry, it is not possible to become an Assistant Loco Pilot in Indian Railways after completion of PCB stream in 10+2. Those candidates who have passed 10th or SSLC + ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical or Electronics or Automobile Engineering or Combination of various streams of these Engineering disciplines from a recognized institution or BE or BTech in the above mentioned streams are only eligible. Therefore, candidates with 10+2 PCB stream are not eligible for the Assistant Loco Pilot post (ALP) in Indian Railways. Applicants’ age should be between 18 to 28 years for the ALP post in Indian Railways. |
