Is a Civil Engineer have any scope in Indian Air Force? Which branch in Engineering is suitable for joining Indian Air Force? I am very much interested to join Indian Air Force. So please help me.

Yes, it is possible to join Indian Air Force being a Civil Engineer. Candidates who have completed Engineering in any branch are eligible to join Indian Air Force by appearing and qualifying CDS examination which is conducted by UPSC twice a year. To appear in CDS examination, you must have to fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned below :-

1. You must be an India.

2. You must have attained minimum age of 20 years and must not have crossed the maximum age of 24 years.

3. You must have passed Degree with Mathematics and Physics at 12th standard or Bachelor of Engineering from a recognsied university.

4. You must be Physically fit as per physical standards mentioned in the UPSC CDS examination notification.

Engineers have scope in Indian Air Force. Civil Engineers can also apply for Air Force Common Admission Test and Combined Defence Services.

*AFCAT is conducted by Air Force twice every year by Indian Air Force for selection of candidates into different branches like Flying branch, technical branch and ground duty branch. You are eligible for all branch. You can apply for branch as per your interest.

*The age limit for Air Force through CDS exam conducted by UPSC is 19-23 years. Civil engineers are eligible as eligibility criteria is that bachelor's degree in engineering candidate can apply for exam.

To join Indian Air Force, you will have to clear written test and SSB.

Which passed degree is mentioned here (12th standard or Bachelor of Engineering)from any one or in both have to be passed ?

I have 12th pass nios certificate in science, diploma in civil engineering and Amie certificate in civil engineering. Am I eligible for Indian air Force as a pilot?
