Qualification required to be an IFS(Forest) Officer?
I have completed the B.Sc in zoology. Can i become IFS(Forest) Officer? What is the latest 2021-2022 qualification required for IFS?

Candidate should hold a bachelor's degree with at least one of the subject namely, animal husbandry and veterinary science, botany, chemistry, geology, mathematics, physics, statistics and zoology or bachelor's degree in agriculture or forestry or engineering from a recognised university.

Candidates with bachelor degree in zoology are eligible to appear for Indian Forest Service recruitment examination. Candidates with above qualification are eligible to appear for the examination. The age limit is 21-32 years and there is relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category.
So, you are eligible to appear in the examination and after qualifying in all the stages of examination become eligible for final selection. For more information about the examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in. |

Qualification required to be an IFS(Forest) Officer is as follows.
Applicant who have completed Graduation with least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology are eligible for this recruitment. Applicant who have completed Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering of any specialization are also eligible for this recruitment. |

The minimum educational qualification required to become Indian Forest Officer is given below, Name of the Examination - Indian Forest Services Name of the Organization - UPSC >> You must hold Bachelor's Degree with at least one of the subjects like Botany or Chemistry or Mathematics or Geology or Physics or Statistics or Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science or Zoology or >> Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture or Forestry or >> Bachelor's Degree in Engineering..etc., As you have completed Bachelor's Degree in Zoology subject, I can say that you are certainly eligible to apply for this recruitment. |

Applicants should be graduates with one of the following subjects namely Chemistry, Botany, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Zoology and Statistics, to become eligible for UPSC IFS examination. Age of a candidate should be minimum 21 years and maximum of 32 years on 1st August, 2021 of the year of examination.

The qualification required to be an IFS Indian Forest Service officer is a candidate must have passed a bachelor's degree in one subject as Chemistry/Botany/Geology/Mathematics/Statistics/Physics/Zoology/Agriculture/Forestry/Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science/bachelor's degree in Engineering from a recognized university. The candidate minimum age should be 21 years and the maximum age should not be more than 32 years.
The UPSC conducts the Indian Forest Service examination each year and it has 3 levels that are preliminary, second main examination, and lastly a personality test. I am also giving you the UPSC website link for your reference that is www.upsconline.nic.in |
