Hello Sir, I am interested to apply in Constable recruitment of West Bengal Police. I just want to know about the selection procedure of this recruitment. Please tell me about the selection procedure asap.

Candidates who are interested to apply for West Bengal Police Constable recruitment, can visit their official website at (http://www.policewb.gov.in) and fill up the online application form.

The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of marks secured in the preliminary written examination followed by medical test and personal interview.

Selection Process of West Bengal Police Constable Recruitment:

Basically the selection process varies for the post of Constable and for the post of Sub-Inspector. Here is the number of rounds available or selection process of West Bengal Police Constable Recruitment.

>> Preliminary Written Examination

>> Physical Measurement Test (PMT) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

>> Final Written Examination

>> Interview

>> Document Verification

There are four stages in selection process of this recruitment and if a candidate qualifies all these four given processes then the candidate can get a job in West Bengal Police for Constable Post.

Preliminary Test : This test is of 100 marks consisting of following subjects :

01. General Awareness and General Knowledge : 50 marks
02. Elementary Mathematics - 30 marks
03. Reasoning - 20 marks

If a candidate qualify this stage then the candidate will be selected for another stage that is :

Physical Measurement Test : In this process the candidate will be measured of his/her height and weight and if these standards found correct as per requirement then the candidate will be considered for next process that is :

Physical Efficiency Test : Candidates qualified in above process will be considered eligible for this process and in this process the candidate has to qualify required standards which is 1600 meters run in 6 minutes 30 seconds.

If candidate qualify above three stages then the candidate will be called for final examination that is most important to qualify then only the candidate will finally be selected for the job.

Final Written Examination will consist of 85 marks and will have following subjects :

General Awareness and General Knowledge - 25 marks
English Language - 25 marks
Elementary Mathematics - 20 marks
Reasoning and Logical Analysis - 15 marks

If candidate qualifies this stage then he/she will be called for final interview that is consist of 15 marks and if candidate qualifies interview process then he/she will be selected for the job.
