The job profile of a Stenographer in the Government Sector is placed at different central ministries and departments as per the grade they qualify for. SSC conducts the stenographer examination every year to recruit candidates in various government departments. The job responsibilities of the stenographer are given below.

Speech Writing: To note down the speeches by the senior officials Briefings: To attend press conferences and meetings making short notes and providing input to press releases. Assisting the Minister or Officer: To assist senior officials and ministers in smooth proceedings. Helping in Public Relations: To make clear the government stands through Public Relations Officers. |

A job of stenographer is very busy. As his duty is to prepare the documents by using shorthand technique, if he do so then stenotypist will type this otherwise not. So we can say that total work of any department depend upon the stenographer. |
