You can become DCP after qualifying in State PCS examination.

The eligibility to appear for the examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree in any discipline. So, you can pursue your 10th and your higher secondary in any stream.

The examination is conducted in three stages. So, you can get the final recruitment after qualifying in all stages of the examination.

The procedure to become a deputy commissioner of police is that candidates should sit for the Civil Services Exam (UPSC Civil/UPSC CSE) and achieve a good rank to become a deputy commissioner of police.

Deputy Commissioner of police and selection is based on exam results .
Student must also hold bachelor's degree in relevant discipline.

Aspirants should take the civil service exam and obtain a high rank to become DCP .
Must be between the age of 21 and 32 to sit for CSE exam.
Becoming a Deputy Commissioner takes many users of dedication , focus and hard work , but by planning one can make their path much smoother.

Eligibility criteria required to become Deputy Commissioner of Police:

The basic eligibility criteria required to become a Deputy Commissioner of Police is given below,

Name of the Job Position- Deputy Commissioner of Police

@ To become an IPS officer or Deputy Commissioner of Police, you must first meet the eligibility criteria. Candidates must have completed Bachelor's degree or Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or institute to be eligible.

@ Candidates from any stream in Graduation are eligible for this recruitment.

@ You are required to appear in Civil Services Examination (CSE) conducted by Union Public Service Commission. You should be able to clear all the rounds conducted by UPSC viz Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and Interview.

@ The minimum age required is 21 years and maximum age should not exceed 32 years and there will be an age relaxation for reserved category candidiates. Later on, you are also required to meet the physical requirements.
