Re: What stream should I take in 11th to become a District Magistrate?
You should focus on social science books from standard 6th to 12th and understand with clarity as these books are base for this examination.
Personally, I would like to suggest you to opt for Arts stream in 11th and 12th standard because after completing your 12th you will have to pursue LLB degree that is the minimum educational qualification required to appear in this examination. Civil services examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for different services. Candidates who join Indian Administrative Services after certain years of experience in service become district magistrate. |

With 10th or 12th qualification you are not eligible for requirement as a District Magistrate.
For recruitment candidates have to appear and qualify in civil service examination. The examination is conducted by UPSC. The eligibility to appear for examination is candidate must have passed the degree in any discipline from a recognised University and age limit is 21 - 32 years with relaxation for reserved category. So, you can pursue any stream in 11th or bachelor degree. To qualify in examination you need to go through syllabus of examination as prescribed by UPSC with a batter strategy and determination. What stream should I take in 11th to become a District Magistrate?
You can choose any stream of your interest, but if it is an arts stream then it will be much better because law comes under an arts subject. To meet the eligibility criteria of the Judicial Services Exam, you need to have a law degree of minimum of 3 years from any university recognized by UGC. It does not matter which subject you study in 11th and 12th class. |
