Dear Bachelor's degree in Social Work is a recognized and completely valid degree therefore do not worry about its recognition and if you want to get admission in Bachelor's of Social Work or Sociology then you should have following eligibility as per the requirements of universities which offers Bachelor's and Master's in Social Work/ Sociology

Candidate should have passed at least class 12th in any discipline from a recognized board or university and must have secured minimum 50% marks as well.

If you have passed class 12th with above mentioned norms then you should apply for admission in BA - Bachelor's of Application with specialization in Social Work or Sociology which is offered by universities in India such as - Barkatullah University Bhopal - for MP region, Bhoj Open University, Delhi University for Master's in Sociology and Social Work, MS University of Baroda - Vadodara for higher studies of Social Work etc.

There is a big future after completing Master's in Social Work but remember that must be proficient in the knowledge of Social Work then you may be considered better for job by various departments and remember that Government of States and Central also recruits Social Work Experts so you may also get job in government sector.

When the admission starts while March - April you should search a good university in around your area or in state and visit there and get more details about fee structure, prospectus etc.

Thank you

If you do a Degree course in Social Work from a recognized University then, surely it will be sufficient to make you a recognized Graduate. So, from wherever you do your graduation you just need to check whether the University is affiliated or recognized by UGC or not.

You can check the list of recognized Universities on the UGC official website. There is also list of blacklisted Universities which you can browse so that you don't take admission into those universities.

Hence don't worry and take admission into a good college for Degree in social work and don't forget to check the affiliation. Usually good Universities offer admission on the basis of entrance exam and only good rank holders get admission in top colleges. So, be prepared for the entrance examination. Some universities give admission on the basis of marks in 10+2 so if you have good marks in 10+2 then you can get admission easily.

You can check the list of UGC Recognized Universities here.
