Re: Between BMS and BAF which one is better?
You can go for any of the courses you wish for as both courses has a good career opportunity, and higher studies facility.
However, below I have mentioned the details of both the courses, you can compare them and suit your needs and opt for the course you feel would suit you. Scope after BAF course: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting aims to equip a graduate with knowledge in areas like Financial accounting, IT, Cost accounting, Auditing, Business communications, Taxation, Economics and Business Law. Aspirants can opt for various higher levels courses like; 1. Chartered Accountant (CA) 2. ICWA 3. M.Com 4. MBA in Finance 5. MS in Finance and Accounting, etc. Meritorious BAF graduates can find a career as: 1. Financial Analyst 2. Accounts Analyst 3. Trainee Analyst, etc. Openings are also available in the area of mutual funds, stock exchange and capital market. BAF graduates can expect a initial pay pack of Rs. 1, 00,000 - 1,50,000 per annum and it will increase with experience. Scope after BMS course: Bachelor of Management Studies graduates are qualified to handle operations and managerial responsibilities with their expertise in areas like; 1. project development and management 2. information system strategies 3. emerging technologies 4. innovations in engineering and 5. global product management. BMS graduates can pursue a higher study in management field itself by pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) course. Many specialisation courses are also available, like in; 1. Hospitality 2. Tourism 3. Accounting 4. Retailing 5. Wholesaling 6. Finance 7. Manufacturing, etc. Management Studies graduates can find job opportunities in trading, KPOs, executive management posts, and careers depending on their area of specialization. The expected salary for BMS graduates at the entry level is above Rs 1,50,000 pa. Which one is better: > BAF orients candidates can work well in the area of finance and accounting only, whereas BMS graduates can opt for a much wider array of specializations. > BAF is a course suited for those with an active interest in the world of finance and accounting whereas those who are more oriented towards management and business can choose BMS. Each course has its own advantages and disadvantages. But both have career opportunities and higher study options available. The only difference seems to be the broader scope with BMS compared to BAF, which is only in Finance and Accounting. |
