Can I get admission in NIT if scored 45 marks in JEE Main being a ST candidate?


Hello everyone,
I have got 45 marks in JEE Main and I belongs to ST catogary. My state is Jharkhand and I want to know that can I get in any NIT?
Please let me know about this asap.

Yes, you can get admission in NIT as you are from ST category, but if you belongs to general category, then the minimum eligibility criteria for getting admission in NIT is minimum 55% marks in JEE main. But as you are from ST category, so you are eligible for the admission.

No,you cannot get seat in NIT.
The marks you got in the mains exam is less than the qualifying marks.
But you have an opportunity to get seat in IIT after your graduation in any regional colleges (recognised by government of india) through gate examination.

No, you can't get admission in NIT after scoring 45 marks in JEE Main being ST candidates.
45 Marks are very low score. To get admission in NIT being a ST candidates, you must score atleast 75 Marks approx.

No you could not get as the cut off is 50.So Its better to join top university which provide you excellent placement opportunity,good scholarship,top infrastructure.The universities are
BITS, Pilani
Lovely Professional University
PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore
Thapar Inst. of Engineering & Technology, Patiala
