Hi everyone, can I know my eligibility to do BAMS as I am a NIOS student of 12th Science so I will be able to do this course? I am interested to study BAMS so with my NIOS certificates I can pursue or not? Please let me know about this as soon as possible. Thank you!

BAMS is Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery.


The eligibility to get admission in the course is that candidate must have passed 12th in Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main paper.

So, you are not eligible to get admission in BAMS course, after completion of 12th in NIOS.

Eligibility for BAMS course:

- The candidates should have done 10 + 2 with physics, chemistry, biology and English as main subjects in order to pursue BAMS course.

- NIOS is a recognised board hence you are eligible to pursue BAMS course if you have done your 12th from NIOS board.

Although you are eligible to pursue higher education post the completion of your 12th from NIOS but getting a seat for a course as competitive as that of BA MS would be very difficult and pursue a career in field of medicine you need to have a background of Biology in 12th level.

Yes, you can pursue BAMS after completing 12th science from NIOS.
Eligibility criteria:-
The candidate should have passed 12th class with PCB stream from a recognised board .
Minimum age - 17 years
Maximum age - 25 years
However, relaxation is given to reserved category students in upper age limit.
NIOS is a recognised board and is acceptable in every University of India.
Therefore, you are eligible to apply for this course.

I don't have 11th in science but I passed my 12th science (pcb) so I am eligible for B.A.M.S. tell me as mush as possible

If I complete my 12th from Nios will I get admission in government granted College??
