Hi everyone, can I know my eligibility to do BTech(Electrical Engineering) as I am a student of Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering, so I will be able to do this BTech? I am interested in doing this BTech course. Please let me know about this as soon as possible. Thank you!

Yes, You can study BTech(Electrical Engineering) after completing Diploma Computer Science and Engineering program.

You can get admission via lateral entry scheme.

You will get admission directly in 2nd Year.

You have to go through college level counseling procedure after JEE Main counseling procedure.

Yes you can take admission in engineering in any department, when you are from any department in lateral entry.
Almost all the colleges accept later entries, but few of the most reputed colleges like IIT,NIT, VIT universities does not encourage lateral entry students.

No, it is not possible to change from computer science and engineering branch to electrical engineering branch, because as a candidate who have completed diploma in Computer Science and Engineering, you are only eligible to B tech Computer Science and Engineering.
So try to join B tech Computer Science and Engineering. If you are interested in Electrical Engineering branch, you can pursue Master's course in electrical stream.

Candidates interested in pursuing B.Tech course after diploma in engineering are not eligible to change the stream.
