I a currently in my first year of graduation. i want to do law after completing my graduation. i want to know the details how can i get admission in law colleges after completing graduation . i want to specialise in corporate law.what enterance exam i need to prepare for getting into top universities.what is the eligibility criteria for doin the same

Admission into Law Colleges :

The admission into the law colleges is purely depends on merit in the entrance examinations.

There are various entrance examinations through which you can get admission into the law courses.

Some of them are like,

CLAT
LAWCET
QLTT
SSLC, Pune
GLC, Mumbai
Faculty of Law, DU
Amity Law School Entrance Test

All these examinations are conducted National level and some are state wide (with state names behind).

If you are qualified in any of these examinations you can get admission in all over country.

You should be an graduate to apply for these examinations.

LLB can be done through 2 modes :

1. By fighting the CLAT examination.

2. Through simple LLB.

If you appear in CLAT and secure a good rank in that then you will be given admission in any of the National Law Universities across the country for a 5 years BA-LLB degree.

But if you have completed graduation then you are not eligible for CLAT.
A simple LLB, you are eligible.

Many university acoross the country are there which offer a LLB degree through regular as well as the private mode.

There is no such hard and fast eligibility criteria for that.

The candidate just have to pass the higher secondary and all the subject in that successfully as per the guidelines of UGC.
