I am a B.Com final year student and I want to join NIFT after graduation. Please tell me about the eligibilty for this course and percentile/percentage required in graduation.

Eligibility to join NIFT:-

A graduate in any discipline can pursue the post graduate programmes offered by NIFT -
National Institute of Fashion Technology.

NIFT offers the following courses in post graduation:-


M.Des - Master of Design

M.F.M. - Master of Fashion Management

M.FTech - Master of Fashion Technology.

YES, you are eligible to join National Institute of Fashion Technology after completing your graduation that is Bachelor of Commerce 3 years degree course.

Either you can do post graduation courses like Masters in Fashion Management or Masters in design or you can pursue another undergraduate degree in design.

If you want to pursue post graduation course then criteria as follows:-

There are three master programs:-

1. M.Des(master of design)
Candidate should have graduation degree from a recognised University in any discipline or bachelor in applied arts (fashion design/visual communication/graphic design/industrial design/interior design/multimedia design a slash product design/textiles and accessories) or
B.A (Fine arts) or B.Sc

2. M.F Tech (master of fashion technology)
B.E/B.tech (textiles/apparel/ mechanical/industrial/production/electronics/computer/information technology)

3. M.F.M (master of fashion management)
three years bachelors degree or equivalent in any discipline recognised by the association of Indian universities for diploma in acessories/fashion design/ FIT from NIFT only.

NIFT Eligibility
Must be a graduate from recognised board

Or
Have diploma in UG Design From NIFT/NID only
Or
3 years diploma from NIFT/NID...

°°° Of course, you can join NIFT after B.Com.
After completion of Bachelor of Commerce 2 years degree course you can apply for post graduation in fashion technology.
And for this you have to apply for the entrance examination that is conducted by National Institute of Fashion Technology.
You can take the entrance examination for any number of times but in case of design you can take till you attain the upper age limit and it is 23 years however, for post graduation there is no age limit.
