JELET is an entrance examination which is conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) for candidates who wish to get lateral entry admission in second year of four years Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology and Pharmacy courses. To be eligible to appear in JELET examination, you must have to satisfy any one of the following two conditions mentioned below :-
--> You must have passed Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST candidates) from an AICTE recognised institution. --> You must have obtained B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC with at least minimum aggregate of 45% marks (40% in case of SC/ST candidates) and must have studied Mathematics as a subject in 12th standard from a recognised board. |

JELET (Joint Entrance Examination) is conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination board every year. JELET Examination is conducted for lateral Entry to 2nd year (3rd semester level) of 4 year courses of Bachelor Degree in Technology or Engineering and Pharmacy (Except Architecture) i.e., under lateral entry scheme.
Educational Qualification required to Apply for JELET: >> Candidates who possess Diploma in Technology/ Engineering or Pharmacy with minimum 50% marks from any polytechnic institute recognized by AICTE are eligible to appear in JELET Exam. >> Candidates who have qualified in 12th Class with Mathematics as a subject and B.Sc with minimum 50% marks from UGC recognized university are also eligible to apply for JELET Exam. Age Criteria Required to Apply for JELET Exam: Maximum age - 27 years Selection Process of JELET Exam: Through Written Test |

JELET exam date of West Bengal is not announced yet but it will be announced very soon.
JELET Stands for Joint Engineering Lateral Entry Test. JELET exam is Conduct by West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam Board. The eligibility qualification for the JELET exam:- (i)Passed diploma course in Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy with above 60% marks. (ii)Passed Degree in Science (B.Sc.) with Mathematics as a subject with above 60% marks. |

JELET examination is conducted in order to allow admission to candidates having completed their Diploma and wish to opt for B.Tech course, by clearing this examination, one will be eligible to get direct admission in 2nd year of B.Tech and continue his/her studies further on.

JELET exam is for the diploma candidates, who want to get admission in 2nd year of Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy courses. If the candidate qualify in this exam, he/she will directly get admission in 2nd year of Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy courses. This lateral entry exam is conducted is every year. In 2015, the JELET exam has already completed on 31th may 2015. You can find more details about this exam by visiting its official website.
