Is NIMS distance education degree affiliated with UGC? Is NIMS bachelor of optometry degree valid for government jobs and is it affiliated to UGC? Can I apply for Dubai with this degree?

According to UGC, NIMS is a recognized distance mode university and degree from there would be valid for government jobs. In India it is surely eligible for government jobs.
When it comes to private jobs or jobs abroad there are rules set by the company concerned. Hence, some may accept and some may deny your qualification.

The distance education offered by NIMS is valid for getting government job because it has following it has approvals from following bodies:

*University Grants Commission.

*Association of Indian Universities.

*Joint Committee Recognition on Distance Education programme.

You can apply with your degree in Dubai for higher studies or job opportunities.

Yes, NIMS distance education is valid for government jobs. The Central Government, as an employer, had accepted the academic qualifications, done through distance mode of education for the purpose of employment under it.
NIMS distance education is recognized by the Distance Education Bureau (DEB), an UGC body that regulates all functions with regard to Distance Education programs in higher education. NIMS is also recognized by Distance Education Council (DEC), an apex body for the Open and Distance Learning system in the country.
