Nizams Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) is a University that was set up under the Act of Andhra Pradesh State Legislature. The primary objectives of NIMS are to create a Centre of Excellence for providing high order medical care, education and research facilities in the field of medical science. The institute also aims to develop patterns of teaching in post graduate level and in super specialties.

The institute further aims to function as a referral hospital. The institute extends its service through extends its services through 28 departments that include 16 super and broad specialties and 12 supporting departments. NIMS has an Executive Board with seven members headed by the Health Minister of Andhra Pradesh in order to supervise its activities.

Eligibility:

Age criteria – The minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 34 years (Relaxable as per rules).

Educational Qualification – The candidates must have passed B. Sc Nursing. They must have registered with A. P Nursing council. Or, the candidates must have passed intermediate examination or equivalent and 3 years General Nursing course with 6 months Midwifery training.
