I would like to know the pattern of BITSAT.
Can you please tell me about its pattern?
And also tell me what marks I must
score for getting admission?

BITSAT Examination Pattern:

Duration of BITSAT Entrance Exam - 3 hours

Total Number of Questions - 150 Q

Part I: Physics - 40 Questions
Part II: Chemistry - 40 Questions
Part III:
a) English Proficiency - 15 Questions
b) Logical Reasoning - 10 Questions
Part IV: Mathematics (Or) Biology - 45 Questions

For Every Correct Answer - 3 Mark
For Each Wrong Answer - Minus 1 mark

BITSAT 2014 Cutoff Scores:

The Cutoff marks from past 4 years published by BITSAT officials are given below,

In BITSAT 2014 - Cutoff mark was 284 (for 5 year Integrated courses also)

In BITSAT 2013 - Cutoff mark was 258

In BITSAT 2011 - Cutoff Mark was 211

In BITSAT 2010 - Cutoff Mark was 258

Pattern of BITSAT:

-Physics: 40 Questions
-Chemistry: 40 Questions
-English Proficiency: 15 Questions
-Logical Reasoning: 10 Questions
-Mathematics / Biology: 45 Questions

The cutoff marks differs from year to year. Try to answer maximum questions. Don't take any risk if you don't know the answer. Negative marks will be applicable for every wrong answer. The majority of the questions will be asked from concepts of the subjects. If you know concepts and basic of the subjects. You can easily crack the examination. I have attached the syllabus of BISAT Examination. I hope it is very useful for you.

Pattern of BITSAT Examination :

BITSAT Examination consists of 4 sections and carrying a total 150 questions overall.

Here we are providing you the list of sections carrying marks. So try o concentrate on the pattern and questions from the section.

* Physics --- 40 Q

* Chemistry --- 40 Q

* a) English Language --- 15 Q

b) Logical Reasoning --- 10 Q

* Mathematics --- 45 Q

So Total number of questions are : 150 Q and each carries 3 marks for correct answer and -1 for each wrong answer.

The competition for the BITSAT is been increasing from year to year. So you have to get good score to get admitted in good colleges.

Cut off varies from year to year so we can take the cut off for the candidates who get admission in BITSAT courses.

--> Cut off marks for admission : 290- 300 marks

--> For waiting list candidates it is about : 270-280 marks.

BITSAT is the common examination conducted by the BITS for admission in its various campus .

The eligibility criteria for the examination are :-

* Candidates must have passed +2 from a recognized board .
* Candidates must have scored at least 75% aggregate in PCM .
*Candidates must have 60 marks in each of Physics , Chemistry and Mathematics .
* Candidates must have proficient knowledge of English .

The examination is online based . The application for 2015 is closed . The candidates who have passed +2 in 2014 and pursuing candidates are only eligible .

As the result are not released so it is difficult to say about the cut off marks .
