For both M.A and B.Ed after the completion of Hons the marks required for the General Category students is 50%.
So you are eligible for both the courses and you are eligible to pursue the course of B.Ed as well as M.A.
You need to decide which is the course that you want to pursue and once you do so you need to get your name enrolled in the University for that course as soon as possible.

B.Ed stands for Bachelor of Education. This course has become compulsory for all those candidates who want to become teacher in government schools.

Eligibility criteria:

* Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

*Minimum of 50% marks in bachelor's degree is required for this teacher training course.

You can enroll yourself for both B.Ed as well as Master of arts with 55% in bachelor's degree. Delhi University is the best for both this course.

B.Ed stands for Bachelor of Education and you are eligible to get admission in any recognised university after qualifying in entrance examination.

To appear in examination for admission candidates must have graduation degree from a recognised university with at least 50% aggregate and 5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

Master of Arts does not require any specific percentage of marks. You can get admission in many universities with just passing percentage of marks. In some universities like Jawaharlal Nehru university, you will have to clear entrance exam.

For Bachelor's degree in Education, a candidate must have at least 50% marks in bachelor's degree. There is no upper age limit for this course.

You can apply for both B.Ed as well as M.A with 55% marks in bachelor's degree in Geography.

For B.Ed entrance exam most of the universities ask for 50% marks for general category candidates. You have got 55% marks which is more than enough. Hence, just be prepared for the entrance exam.

As far as M.A admission concerned, there is different criteria for admission in different universities. Some give admission based on marks in graduation and some conduct entrance exam.
