kindly explain what is recognized university and what is unrecognized university in india. pls. give example for these two. whether karunya university-coimbatore is recignized one?

Recognized Universities of India are the universities which has the approval of UGC to conduct academic programmes (higher studies) and has been given the status of universities. UGC is the legal body of the government of India which has the only right to give university status and approve the various academic programmes of the concerned university.

Any university which does not hold the approval or recognition of UGC, is termed as unrecognized university. With the increasing population, the number of educational institutes are increasing. Among which many are fake and unrecognized and are conducting academic programmes for their own benefit.
