Most of the PSU's offers summer internship to the pre-final year and final year candidates from the well reputed institutes. You must have scored at least 55% marks in your graduation exams without any backlog. Some of well reputed PSU's for pursuing internship are SAIL, BHEL, BEL, NTPC, NRL, Nepa Limited etc.
Generally the internship duration is 6 weeks in the summer session. You have to submit your application before the due date. Generally the application form is to be submitted in the month of March.

The eligibility criteria for doing internship in the PSUs depend on the concerned PSU in which you are applying. The basic criteria which PSUs look for are:-

- Your resume.
- The institute from which you are pursuing the course.
- Any referral from senior level employees.
- Interview

There is usually no need of any entrance exams for internship opportunities.
