Can i do phd in microbiology with distance education. After doing clinical microbiology in distance.

Distance mode Ph.D are possible, but you need to do your research on your own. Normally, this is possible, only when you are working in industry or in academics, where resources are available to do research.
Hence, if you are a working professional, then only go for distance mode PhD, otherwise, it will be better to pursue a regular Ph.D only. |

Yes,why not you can do PhD in Microbiology.
To do PhD Microbiology, candidates who have done post graduate degree from a recognised university. Minimum Marks required is 55%marks. There is no age restriction. |

Admission is done through online registration Candidates must register for the entrance exam through the official website of organizer. Those who have completed masters in relevant subject are eligible Some if the colleges offering the course ate BITS Pilani Kurukshetra University Tamil Nadu open university University of Madras IIT Madras IIT Roorkee etc |

Qualification required for PhD in Microbiology is, candidates must have a post graduate degree with minimum 55%marks from a recognised university.
Candidates also have to appear in the entrance exam called LPUNEST. The duration of this course is 3 to 4 years. |

Eligibility criteria:- If you have completed master's degree with above 55% marks from a recognised university then you are eligible for Ph.D Course. There is no age criteria. |

No, you can't do it. But PhD degrees obtained through distance mode will no more be recognised after the University Grants Commission (UGC) issued a circular stating the same.

The minimum eligibility criteria is that a candidate should have passes with 55% aggregate marks in masters degree and the candidate has to pass LPUNEST and interview. An applicant will be shortlisted for interview on the basis of his or her score in the entrance examination LPUNEST. The final selection for admission in PhD will be based on the performance in the entrance test that is 70% weightage and interview that has 30% weightage subject to scoring minimum marks in the interview. |
