I have passed MA in in distance mode from KSOU and obtained 52.5%. Can I pursue PHD in distance mode in English through any UGC recognized university? What is the normal procedure to get admission if I am eligible? I have about 5years of teaching English at graduate level. Will this help?

You have completed M.A in distance mode from KSOU in 52.5% so you are not eligible for Ph.D course.

Those candidates who have completed masters degree with above 55% marks from a recognized University are eligible for Ph.D course. For SC/ST candidate its 50% and above in masters degree.

There are no age criteria.

Yes, you can pursue but some universities take admission based on the entrance test.

Aspirants are eligible to pursue a Ph.D. course only if they have completed their master's degree in a similar course/ field/ stream in which they want to pursue a Ph.D.

Some colleges also specify that candidates need to have completed an MPhil to pursue a Ph.D. course offered by them.

Those who have completed masters in relevant subject from a recognised board with atleast 55% or above marks are eligible for admission.

They must have qualified any national level entrance exam
Or
They have to appear for entrance exam conducted by the University at the time of admission with an interview.

Though your percentage is less, still you can try for admission.
But good percentage is required for admission.
