I want to become a professor is it necessary for me to clear NET exam for becoming a professor for good salary?

Yes, Clearing NET is important to become a Professor with a good salary.

If you want be professor in any recognized university than you must have valid UGC NET score.

On the basis of UGC NET score only you will eligible to apply for the position of Assistant Professor at recognized university.

You can be Assistant Professor with UGC NET score also but you won't be paid nicely.

Yes it is important to clear NET or any other entrance exam to become Professor.
