What is the benefit of clearing UGC NET exam? And what would be the salary as soon as one clear ugc net exam and is it a must to do a ph.d? And how long would it take to do a ph.d in english literature?

The foremost benefit of clearing UGC NET is that one gets eligible for fellowship and after cracking the exam , they can apply for Junior Research Fellowship if they are interested in PhD or M.phil.
The salary varies depending upon the post For Professor INR 37000-74000 Associate professor INR 15000 - 35000 The exam conducted for selecting candidates to fellowship and lecturership. PhD in english literature is a doctorate level course spread over a span of 3 to 5 years. Those who have completed masters in english literature are eligible for PhD in english literature. |
