For CSIR NET you must have a Master's Degree in relevant discipline from a recognized University. There is percentage criteria also and you must have at least 55% marks in your Master's degree. There is relaxation of 5% marks for reserved category candidates.
Therefore, if you have done your Master's in Food Technology from a recognized University with 55% marks, then surely you can apply for CSIR NET. You have to choose Life Sciences as your subjects in this exam because Food Technology is mostly related to Biological sciences. I have done M.sc food tech with 74% marks. Can I apply for CSIR UGC NET from home science branch?

Sir I studied bsc in botany biochemistry and microbiology then I changed my subject in MSc to food science will I have eligibility to become lectureship in food science by clearing csir net exam
