Yes, you are eligible to apply for CSIR NET (Chemical Sciences) for M.Sc (Chemistry) holders. CSIR NET (National Eligibility Test) is conducted for admission into Ph.D course and the educational qualification required is given below. The basic educational qualification required is,
>> BS 4 year program or B.E or B.Tech or MBBS or B.Pharma or BS-MS or M.Sc (Master of Science) from a recognized university. >> Since you have already completed M.Sc in Chemistry, you are certainly eligible to appear in CSIR NET Examination under Chemical Sciences stream. >> You must have secured minimum 55% marks (for General Category/ OBC) and 50% marks (for SC/ ST/ PWD Candidates) in order to be eligible. >> For Junior Research Fellow (NET) the maximum age of a candidate must not exceed 28 years and there is an age relaxation for reserved category candidates as per the government norms. >> For Lectureship (NET), there is no particular upper age limit. |
