hi..i want to know eligibility criteria for m.phill and phd in economics from IGNOU or any other best alternative for IGNOU?

Eligibility for M.Phil in Economics: Candidate should have a Post-Graduate degree in Economics or allied discipline with minimum 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ ST/ PH candidates) or an equivalent grade(grade system) from a university or a recognised institution of higher training.

Eligibility for PhD in Economics: A M.Phil Degree and a Post-Graduate Degree in a relevant discipline with minimum 55% marks (which is 50% marks for SC/ ST/ PH candidates) or an equivalent grade (grade system) from a university or a recognised institution of higher training.

If not above then, simply a Master degree in Economics with a minimum of 5 years Teaching experience or experience in related Industry or as a Professional at senior level.

I have done by BA in literature, and MBA in finance, I have been teaching economics for last five years at higher secondary level, am I eligible to do a PhD in economics
