The Macroeconomics Analysis paper of IGNOU has a separate paper pattern to be followed by the students giving the exam at the end of the term or upon the completion of the study of the course. The maximum marks for the paper is 100. The student has three hours to answer the questions in the paper. There are three sections in the paper, Section A, Section B and Section C. 

Section A has long answer questions where the student is supposed to answer any two out of the four questions in the paper. Each question is of 20 marks and the word count for each answer is 500. Section B involves medium length answers. The student has to answer any three questions for 250 words each. Each question carries 12 marks and the total number of questions including options is five. Section C focuses on short answer questions of eight marks each. The student is expected to answer three out of the six questions given. The word count for each answer is 100.
