Am Currently doing MA Psychology in IGNOU (Distance course) Will i be able to do PHD in Psychology

Hie. As per your concern you have done masters in psychology through distance or correspondence mode not in regular manner or degree so you want to know that whether it is acceptable at the university level as an eligibility criteria for selection into phd degrees.

Actually the correspondence degree is equivalent to regular degrees but is of longer duration. Since you have done the course from a reputed government organisation or university that is IGNOU which has been accredited as one of the recognised institutions of India to award deprived students the degrees up to masters level through distance mode. So you dont have to worry about acceptance of your degree.It is acceptable as masters degree by all tbe institutions of India. Hence w I thout any fear you can apply for a phd degree programs in any institutions of India awarding phd in your subject. You can even apply and go for phd in distance mode again.

This I am suggesting as per your concern that you are worried for whether the distance mode masters will be eligible for regular phd degrees or not. When you apply for phd in distance mode again you don't have any tension or confusion regarding this at least. So I am suggesting this. Otherwise as I already said you are anyway eligible after completion of masters. Good luck.

Yes, you can do. You need to have a master degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 55%.

You can. You need to have your masters degree from a recognized university and have minimum of 60% of marks to enroll for PhD.

Distance learning degree is valid as same a regular degree. If you are working professional then you will joining only distance education instead of regular program. if University is UGC approved then student will take admission.
